All products in the industry are for human consumption. The industry is fragmented, but companies do not have enough share of the market to influence the industry`s direction price level. The main demand drivers is a demographic shift and consumer tastes. The profitability drivers are good product mix, efficient operations, superior service and effective marketing. The industry is highly labor intensive with low use of capital. The food and beverage industry concentrates on technology and mechanical manipulation of raw foods in order to create more value-added food products than in the agricultural industry (Food and Beverages, 2016). The leaders in the industry are SYSCO, US Foodservice Tyson Foods, McLane Company, Pepsi-Co, Nestle, Anheuser-Busch InBev, MillerCoors. Due to the new trends in the healthcare as well as people became more aware concerning the products on their family meal, the consumers are purchasing more generic foods to make their own meal and, in addition, to save money. However, the costs of production are extremely raising, therefore, food companies had to increase the price of final product. A large number of theorists have speculated on the most appropriate type of management for humans in the professional settings. The theories provide a set of the business steps towards the way to an effective management. The most popular theories are scientific theory by Frederick. W. Taylor, Administrative theory by Henri Fayol, Bureaucratic Theory by Max Weber and Human Relations theory by Elton Mayo. For instance, Frederick W. Taylor`s strategy could be implemented in the working process of Tyson Food INC., because it is based on a systematic study of people, tasks and their behavior during the working process. According to the theory, the working process is divided into the smallest activities or sub-tasks in order to determine the most efficient method to get profit, by testing different tasks to find out an optimal amount of work that could be finished within a certain period (Chaffey, 2009). The Government Regulations for the Industry and its Negative Impact The U.S provides a variety of regulations for the Food Industry. The government is monitoring food wholesomeness, labeling and safety of the product.
