The best way to find out ways to get a high mark would be to look at a classroom essay sample, but doing so without any guidance can be overwhelming. How do you reveal insight? Is your score affected by typos? What is a good way to keep your article organized?

The sample classroom essays that follow were written in response. The rater commentary that follows every sample essay explains the response meets the criteria for this score.

Below you'll find selected examples of documents which "worked," as nominated by our admissions committee. These entrances are different and unique to the individual writer; however, each of them helped the admissions reader in learning more about the student.

Your aim in composing your classroom essays is to produce a self-portrait that puts you at your target schools ahead of your competition and singles you out. To accomplish this, your essays will have to be creative, thoughtful, and persuasive. Below you will find sample essays which serve as examples of classroom essay excellence. As you read them, there are a number of important elements that you should take notice of: the distinct individuality of each composition, the clear motif, the engaging opening, and also the finish that ties the essay together, which makes it a complete, coherent unit.
