The best way to find out ways to get a mark is to look at a resource essay sample, but doing so with no guidance can be overwhelming. How do you reveal insight? Do your score affect? What's a good way to keep your article organized?

The sample resource essays which follow were written in response. The rater comment that follows each sample essay explains the response meets the criteria for that score.

Below you'll find selected examples of essays which "worked," as nominated by our admissions committee. These entries are different and unique to the respective author; into learning more about the student beyond the transcripts and lists of activities provided in their 37, however, they each assisted the admissions reader.

Your aim in writing your resource essays is to produce a self-portrait that puts you at your target schools ahead of your competition and singles you out. To accomplish this, your essays will have to be creative, thoughtful, and compelling. Below you'll find sample essays which serve as illustrations of resource essay excellence. As you read them, there are a number of key elements that you should take note of: the different individuality of each essay, the very clear theme, the engaging introduction, and the finish that ties the composition with each other, which makes it a whole, coherent unit.
