The best way to figure out how to get a mark is to check at a sea essay sample, but doing this with no advice can be overpowering. How do you reveal insight? Is your score affected by typos? What is a good way organized?

The sample sea essays that follow were written in response to the prompt that appears below. The rater commentary that follows every sample essay explains the answer meets the standards for that score.

Below you'll find selected examples of documents which "worked," as nominated by our admissions committee. These entries are distinct and unique into learning more about the student beyond the transcripts and lists of actions provided in their 37, however, they each assisted the admissions reader.

Your aim in writing your sea essays is to create a self-portrait that singles you out and puts you at your target schools ahead of your competition. To accomplish this, your essays will need to be persuasive, thoughtful, and creative. Below you will find sample essays which serve as illustrations of sea essay excellence.
